This first year of the Master of Physics was organised in two semesters, which included the following courses:

• UE3: Atomic/subatomic physics
• UE4: Quantum physics

• UE5: Statistical physics / Molecular physics / Micro- and nanostructures: physics and applications
• UE6: Electronic devices / Simulation and numerical calculations
• UE7: LASERs
• UE8: Scientific english / Research project

I performed my research project in the GMCM, UMR CNRS/Université de Rennes1, each Thursday under the supervision of Dr. Brice Arnaud. This project was dealing with theoretical study of electronic properties of graphite and carbon nanotubes.
